Sometimes we can all find it hard to cope.
I believe counselling can help.
I am a humanistic “person-centred” counsellor - a caring and non-judgemental companion who can help you work through your problems and give you the time and space to explore your issues.
As you talk to me a respectful, trusting relationship will hopefully grow between us. This feeling of safety often allows issues to rise to the surface, issues which you may never have discussed before.
In our first session, we will agree boundaries of confidentiality. This will give you the freedom to talk about things you may not feel comfortable or safe enough to discuss with your family or friends.
I will not tell you what to do; I will help you find your own way, seeking to draw on your own resources.
Counselling can be short-term, to focus on a particular crisis you are facing, or long-term, for deeper exploration of your life and the issues you are dealing with.
Counselling can be done face to face, or over the telephone.
