The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy

The BACP aims to provide a safe and accountable counselling and psychotherapy service for both practitioners and clients. There is a very informative “frequently asked questions” (FAQ) page that covers many aspects of counselling.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UKCP's purpose is to promote high standards of training and practice in psychotherapy and the wider provision of psychotherapy for the public benefit. The UKCP site also has an interesting FAQ page.

Metanoia Institute

With around 1000 active members, Metanoia is among the larger psychotherapy & counselling educational institutions in Britain. Metanoia is based in West London, in Ealing and offers a range of part-time training opportunities covering a variety of counselling approaches.
